ENSC, not for profit organization, is pleased to announce a scholarship to provide funds and supplies
to graduating seniors who reside in the North Shore area.
The
Purpose and Objectives of ENSC include partnering with local schools and organizations
to provide scholarships and stipends for youth who are not excelling academically, but have the potential to realize their
goals and aspirations. ENSC strives to empower and build self esteem in youth and adults through workshops and seminars; offer
benefit concerts to provide financial support and spread the gospel through song to those forgotten in the North Shore community.
Mission:
To mentor youth in the community so they can achieve their full potential as professionals and leaders.
Eligibility: Graduating
senior of North Shore High School who plans to attend a two or four year college or trade school. Award will be based on financial need and exhibited ability to overcome hardships. No minimum GPA required.
Amount of award: $500.00 first year, renewable $250.00 for three
years while a full time student. Awards are announced in late June. Awards are
mailed to the grantee’s institution in August.
Process: Submit an autobiographical essay, supporting transcript
and three letters of recommendation. To obtain a copy of the application form, submit a written request with a stamped, self-addressed
envelope to ENSC Scholarship Fund, 1615 Lake Street, Evanston, IL 60201 or you
may download a copy from the website at www.enscmasschoir.org .
Deadline: Application must be postmarked by June 1, 2007.
Selection criteria: Proven success in overcoming obstacles or hardships,
financial need, desire to achieve personal goals and dedication to helping others in the community. ENSC will keep a close
relationship with the awardees through correspondence and telephone calls.
